We're proud to announce that BJ Fogg's book, Persuasive Technology, has been translated and published in Japanese by Nikkei Business Publications, Inc.

From Chika, a Lab member (and one of the translators of the book!):

We hope that many Japanese researchers learn from BJ's insight and that the creative discussion between Japan and U.S. is happening in the near future. In particular, as we observe how people use cell phones in Japan, there might be lots of possibilities in designing mobile persuasion.

The translators are Osamu Kora and Chika Ando. Osamu has an M.S. AI degree from Stanford University. Chika has an M.A. education degree from Stanford University. In the fall of 2002, Chika was a master's student of Learning Design and Technology program and took BJ's course, Persuasive Technology in Education.

Our lab has had a rich dialogue with Japan and we hope this will strengthen that bond.

The Japanese book, Persuasive Technology, is here.
The American version of the book is here.
